Cocoon Consulting
Some stories are deeply personal and emotionally layered, requiring a careful balance between structure, readability, and emotional honesty.
That was the heart of Dreamcolor Creative Studio’s work with Cocoon Consulting and founder Gail S. Turner-Day on The Fading Garden, a reflective publication centered on caregiving, memory loss, and the experience of supporting a loved one through dementia.
Based in Oak Lawn, Illinois, Cocoon Consulting is a counseling and coaching practice led by Gail S. Turner-Day, a business owner and mental health professional with more than 30 years of experience supporting individuals, families, and professionals through seasons of transition, healing, caregiving, and personal growth.
The Fading Garden was inspired by Gail’s personal experience caring for her mother through dementia, bringing together both professional insight and lived emotional experience in a way that feels honest, compassionate, and accessible to readers.
The collaboration combined Gail’s decades of counseling expertise with Dreamcolor Creative Studio’s support in shaping the story visually and structurally into a polished publication designed to connect with caregivers and families navigating similar experiences.
Our role included content organization, interior layout and formatting, cover design, publication coordination, and online publishing support. Care was taken to create a reading experience that felt visually calm, emotionally accessible, and easy to navigate for readers walking through similar caregiving journeys.
The final publication offers a gentle and reflective perspective on caregiving, memory, family connection, and loss while honoring the emotional complexity that often accompanies dementia-related experiences.
The Fading Garden is available on Amazon for caregivers, families, and readers seeking a personal and reflective story centered on love, memory, and care.
